EAMD AG enters into a strategic partnership with LIFT Air GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of light aircraft

Berlin, 29.02.24 EAMD European AeroMarine Drones AG (WKN 661195) is realigning itself and entering into a strategic partnership with the well-known aircraft manufacturer LIFT Air (Flight Design, HORTEN, Winglift), which is part of the LINDIG Group.

“The production of drones exclusively for the civil sector (logistics, security, infrastructure) will only achieve satisfactory results in three to five years. With LIFT Air as a major player in “green aviation”, EAMD is in a position to immediately offer manned and unmanned special aircraft,” says CEO Dr. Marco Metzler.

“With the strategic partnership and the planned acquisition of 51% of LIFT Air GmbH, we are growing to become the leading provider of specialized aircraft for civil applications,” Metzler continues.

“The order book of Flight Design, a majority shareholding of LIFT Air GmbH, is well filled with 70 F2 series aircraft on order, meaning that production is running at full capacity this year. In addition, with Winglift and HORTEN, there are already flown demonstrators for unmanned cargo transport and the promising segment of urban aviation, which are to be further developed together with EAMD in the coming years,” confirms the Managing Director of LIFT Air GmbH, Dr. Sören Bräutigam.

As part of the strategic partnership, EAMD has a purchase option on 51% of LIFT Air GmbH, which is to be realized within the next 6 months. To finance this transaction, EAMD is issuing a convertible bond with a volume of up to EUR 15 million, as resolved at the last AGM.

As a first step in the strategic partnership, LINDIG GmbH, the holding company of the LINDIG Group, acquired 100,000 shares (9.18% of the total shares) in EAMD from strategic shareholders of EAMD in February 2024.

“Further steps in the integration of LIFT Air GmbH, from a 51% stake to full integration into EAMD, are being planned with EAMD,” says Sven Lindig, owner of the LINDIG Group.
